OfficeMax
MaxAssurance is worthless

Shops, Products, Services

We purchased an expensive executive office chair and were sold the MaxAssurance warranty for the chair. We were told that this would give us 24X7 protection. When the chair broke in less than 1 year, we were told that the MaxAssurance was only good after the original manufactor warranty expired.in other words, the three year warranty only covered the two years after the original manufactor's warranty expired.

OfficeMax exhanged the chair but that meant the warranty was null and void. We had to purchase a new warranty for the exchanged chair. Now the exchanged chair is in two pieces. The metal connecting the chair to the stand has come apart and I'm told the warranty only covers broken casters. This is far from the brochure that says "structual defects and warping, cracking, bereaking of frames/legs".instead o MasAssurance, this was a case of simply taking my money and offering nothing in return. I'm surprised that anyone bothered to answer the phone.
