AVON, Allied Interstate Fraudulent Billing, Negative Credit Reporting, Unresponsive to dispute contact attempts

I was a representative for Avon Products, Inc. For a few months, but dropped out after awhile. Avon usually sends out products to reps on a credit basis, so the product can be given to customers in a timely manner.

So, I usually paid for the product after it had arrived, by mailing it in the envelope they would provide with shipment. After I had dropped out of the Avon business, I started receiving collection letters from Avon Products, Inc., and also a nationwide collection service company called Allied Interstate.

The letters continue to come, and I have not been an Avon rep for quite a few months now, nor do I owe them any money. The letters state that I have failed to respond to their attempts to collect on a seriously past due balance.

It also states that I have a delinquent balance of $114.91 owed to them. So, I went back and checked my records to see if I had overlooked paying them for something. I found records of having paid them by check for that amount months ago, and for the same account number and order number that they are claiming wasn't paid.

I also have record of the check having cleared the bank, which indicates that they received the check and already cashed it, but chose not to apply it to my account. Whenever I try to call the phone number they give me on the letters, it takes me directly to an automated ansering system that requires entering some password and pin, etc.information they don't give me in the letters.

They are unreachable by phone, and no matter what I press on the dial pad, they do not allow me to get through to an actual person. Be wary of this when dealing with Avon Products, Inc. They are not careful when receiving payments, and will acuse you of never having paid, then report it to your credit record so it appears that you have a delinquency out there.

This has hurt my credit record, and they don't respond to calls or snail mail. I believe they are the biggest rip-off artist company I have ever dealt with because they are out there destroying innocent people's credit records due to fraudulent billing.
