Refused my check for the 2nd time at Walmart and a year ago at Albertson's

WalMart refused my check based on my Driver's License number for the 2nd time in 30 days! The first incident was reported and I was assured that the matter had been cleared up, but I still refused to shop at any WalMart for an entire month.

This evening my check was again refused for the same reason! Of course it is a Saturday and after 6 P.M. So it is impossible to talk to anyone of any authority at any location of WalMart or with Telecheck.

Apparently, Albertson's uses the same reports because this happened to me a year ago for the same reason. Seems someone with similar Driver's License Number has been writing hot check all over the place and now their hot checks have been linked to ME thru my driver's license number.

I am an elderly lady and I cannot begin to describe the anger, embarassment and humiliation this has caused me. I have heart and blood pressure problems and I fear the next incident may cause me to drop dead from the stress. Not to mention the wasted time of having to re-shop my purchases at another business that WILL take my check with absolutely no problem. With my heart and blood pressure problems it is difficult, to say the least, to shop for 1-2 hours, carefully hand-picking items for my home and family only to have it all go to waste because some one was careless and entered a driver's license number that is identical to mine.

The Customer Service Rep. At this WalMart told me she has had the same problem and has not been able to write a check at WalMart! - and she works there!

this is wrong! Please tell me there is something that can be done.
