I was talked into purchasing a wireless broadband from a third party company called ASN. Its some type of pyramid program a past acquaintance of mine got involved in because he was having problems with his limited income and was trying to develop a way to make some money. A helper ASN person was aiding him in making his first sale. Part of the sales pitch was to advise me that this internet service was through Verizon, and that the service being sold to me was Exactly like my other Verizon broadband service. I pointed out that I didnt recall any 5 GB of usage each month on my other service? The Helper said, Doug, its exactly what your other Verizon service is, and you wouldnt be using 5 GB a month anyway. Like an idiot, I took the Helpers word for it and signed up.
I noticed that the user time accumulated much faster with this new service, than with my other Verizon service? That made no sense to me? By day 16, the accumulated usage was 3.5 GB, and there was no way that I could remain within the 5 GB limit. I called Verison and was advised that would be additional charges for every MB over the 5 GB monthly limit. At this point, I told Verizon to cancel service.
My irritation isnt with Verizon. My irritation is with Simplexity. What connection does Simplexity have with ASN? The ASN Helper required the I give a credit card number to sign up. Was it anticipated that many new users cancel, and therefore get the cancellation charge deducted from their bank account? Yes, I signed the contract. I was very stupid for doing that and for believing the ASN salesperson. And yes, I was stupid to give a credit card number, because its required to sign on to the service.
Im writing this report as a warning to other people who are approached by people selling services through a company called ASN. Im also warning to not buy any services from Simplexity. I dont know what the connection is between ASN and Simplexity, but in my experience with this purchase has been nothing but a hassle.
