Supposedly paid off now another creditor is after me for same debt

In February I was contacted by phone by Frederick J. Hanna & Associates about my Chase account. And when I say contacted I mean I was harassed by them day and night. They even called my ex-husband to get him involved. Never once did I receive anything in writing from them prior to the phone calls. I finally spoke to a "Ms. Williams" and she offered me a settlement amount of $4,000.00, which was supposed to pay off my account in full. I paid $1000 a month for 4 months and that was a struggle but I never heard from them again. Today, I receive a letter from ANOTHER law office for the remainder of the amount I owed on that Chase account, which was supposed to be "paid in full" according to Frederick J. Hanna AND they are charging me interest on the charge off amount. Frederick J. Hanna are crooks and liars! Don't believe anything they tell you.
