Recently acquired Xerox Company in Feb Deceptive Hiring Process and Job Offered

Be warned, working for ACS, (Affiliated Computer Services) in their call center in Federal Way, WA is a sweat shop and a churn and burn low level lousy job! Don't get suckered by the poor job market out there at present. Keep looking for something better wherein you will be respected and appreciated for your talents as a quality CSR! I'll include my brief experience here for your benefit. I wasted my time and gasoline going to the so called, "Interview" in the first place. It was a cattle call and totally un-professional from the get go. The so called, "recruiters, who are not professional as well, are deceptive too. Read on and be advised, don't let a schlock outfit like this take advantage of you just because you need a job. Desperation is never a good ground to stand on to try to make a decision! I won't belabor all of the details just let me sum up concisely by saying that from the start of the application process, which is unnecessary long and redundant on-line to not being informed of basic information about the job that I was interviewing for upfront, (i. E: finding out when I arrived there from an old crone with a bad attitude in the locked public front lobby that I had to be available Mon-Sun from 5am-12am period. That I would be assigned my scheduled and had no say in the matter!) You can imagine my surprise! After looking around and seeing that the call center was populated by very young kids — as this was probably their first or second job. No one looked happy or confident. How must the Customer on the other end of the phone react to this kind of "churn and burn" sweat shop work environment? Answer: not well I am sure. Anyway, I am taking my time to let you at Corporate know that I would never offer my talent and skill for such a schlock outfit like ACS nor recommend them to anyone in the business world of which I am active. The interview which I was all prepared for did not happen as I was turned away. Had I been informed up front by the un-professional HR folks currently working there, (by the way: bad for business) I would not have wasted my time or gasoline in going to the location in the first place. I think that due to the paucity of jobs in the Country right now that unscrupulous cretins like those behind ACS are quite plainly trying to take advantage of good, honest American workers who really need a job right now. Job seeker: Beware! And abide by the Golden rule always.
