Ripoff, liars, cheaters, deceivers, don't care a bit about the customers!

Joined the music club a couple years ago. Been a member in good standing for quite some time. They sent my wife an application so I joined as well. Joined the dvd club as well and was purchasing items.in 2 of the 3 clubs, I had fulfilled my enrollment obligations and had purchased NUMEROUS other titles.

Since I operate a side business of selling vhs/dvd/cd/etc, occasionally I purchase some items from CH for re-sale. Since they charge sales tax, I questioned them about not paying sales tax. They told me I was violating THEIR agreements with their vendors and that they were cancelling my account.

And not only did they cancel my ONE account, but they cancelled ALL THREE!

And all those bonus points I had been accumulating? Well it seems that when an account is cancelled, all bonus points are forfeited! They did not even give me a chance to USE THEM!

And in the meantime, they continue to send me applications to join their TV club, which I send back, and they respond - we can't accept your application at this time. Couple weeks later they send another application!

Columbia House is a HUGH ripoff and a communistic company! They are controlling what their customers do with the products they purchase! How many MILLIONS of people have ever bought something from columbia house, didn't like it and then sold it to someone else? If you have, you have violated your membership agreement and you account should be terminated!

Columbia House is a JOKE! They will never get any more of my money, and I encourage folks to cancel your current memberships based solely on the fact that once you purchase the product it is YOURS to do with what you like, and no company is going to tell you what you can do with it!
