Unauthorized subscription and credit card charges

I signed up for realtytrac.com and cancelled shortly thereafter, during the trial period to avoid charges. Some time later, I noticed charges on my credit card from repromoter, which I could not identify, for 44.95. After some online research, I found many similar complaints/concerns where users that had signed up for realtytrac.com were somehow also added as members and had their credit card and billing information passed to www.realestatepromoter.com. Not only was that information provided, but subscribed to a monthly service with a recurring fee.

I was not aware of this and have not been able to get in contact with them. They provide a toll free number that I have called four times and have waited upwards of 10 minutes to never get connected to anyone. I have sent emails to their support address and received automated responses saying they would respond in 24 hours - that was over 3 days ago.

I was able to (thankfully) restore my email from around the time of the realtytrac signup, and found spam mail that had come in with an account to log into the repromoter web page, which I have just tried. I am able to log in, but the only way to cancel the membership is to send them an email, which I already have had no response to.

The fact that realtytrac is fronting any method of passing billing information to repromoter for additional services and credit card charges that the user (me) is unaware of is poor business and should be researched for fraud. Between the two of these companies I have been charged more than $100 for services from something I didn't sign up for, haven't used, and didn't want and can get no response from anyone on how to resolve the situation.
