Solicited me as a Mystery Shopper, sent me a fraudulent cashiers check for $3900.00 to cash at my bank, then to transfer $3620.00 to a Jasmine Davis in NY, using the rest to buy stuff at walmarts

I was solicited to be a mystery shopper for Walmarts by a David Browne. Not knowing it was a scam, I answered and agreed. He responded saying I was approved then gave me the details of what I was supposed to do. He said he would send a cashiers check for $3900.00 and that I was to spend $150.00 at Walmarts, and keep $150.00 for myself, as well as what I bought. The rest of the money was to be transferred through a Walmart Money Gram to a Jasmine Davis in NY. Of course I investigated his name and found no scam reports. But to be safe, when the cashiers check was delivered, I called the Bank it was drawn from, and found out it was fraudulent. Then I came here and am reporting it. I will make another report to the authorities. People like this should be caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. They are predators. If I would have cashed the check as he directed, I would have been responsible to pay that money back to my bank. I am a poor person, so, It would have ruined my life, perhaps wound me up in jail. So I have no mercy concerning these predators. I try to remember the old saying, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably isn't true. Amen to that! People be ware of scams and fraud. Always check into things like this. Never ever take their word for it. This guy even put a Walmart logo after his name at the end of the letter. There is no end to how far they will go.
