Elavon Merchant Services
Annual PCI Fee of $175 being charged is a scam to take your money! Beware!

Shops, Products, Services

I signed on with Elavon because they lowered my interest rates. Little did I know those rates would eventually creep back up to what I had with my previous company. This is a scam to lure you in because they make you sign a 4 yr agreement with a $195 early cancellation penalty.

The newest outrage came when I received a letter that stated they were now charging a $175 annual PCI Fee. When I called in to inquire about it, the rep lied and told me that this fee was being charged by the credit card companies and that all merchant service companies were also charging this as well. I called my previous company and they stated that the fee is actually only about $38 dollars and anything over that amount the company is pocketing.

Needless to say, I cancelled my account with Elavon immediately.
