Mike Danby and Mike Dowler Paid 345euros to become a member of a local services directory. Then they dissapeared. At least 6 others I know have also been scammed

Applied to become a 'member' of a local services directory. Basically, you or your company become a member of this directory and pay an annual fee of 345 euros.
The idea is that once the public is informed of the directory (by local radio & newspapers) they would choose the service they required (eg plumber, painter, computer engineer etc) and then the rogue company (they called themselves The Register) would contact the relevant registered member to carry out the job.
