ADT security services ADT monitoring contract ripoff

We signed up with ADT a few years ago, at that time we purchased a MOVABLE system that runs by cell towers as we were about to move. ADT assured us that we were purchasing the correct package and that it is no problem to move the system, and there is NO PENALTY for relocating the system! If they had been honest about this loophole they created to try to force customers to pay them FOREVER, we would NOT have signed up with ADT!

After PAYING THEM FOR over 3 YEARS, we contacted them to find out exactly when the 3 year monitoring agreement would end. We were then told by a VERY RUDE 'customer service' rep, that they have renewed our contract 2x, each time we moved, to ANOTHER 3 YEARS!!! Now they are telling us that there is NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT, and the only solution would be to stay at the same address for a straight 3 years, which is impossible for almost anyone and they KNOW THAT and are USING that to LOCK IN their customers against their will!

On top of all that, every time we have had to call ADT for anything, the 'reps' are VERY RUDE, cut you off, they say they are transferring you and then cut you off, on and on, this company is impossible to deal with as all they seem to want to do is pass the call off to anyone else!

They REFUSE to help us with this PROBLEM, or even compromise with us! We are about to drop them and their 'lousy system' because of all this. If they would just be fair about it, we would have considered staying with them, but after the VERY RUDE customer service rep today that yelled into the phone 'THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT", if our contract is not put back to the ORIGINAL expiration date. We will file a formal complaint with the Attorney General of the State of Florida, and will post complaints anywhere, and everywhere we can find to help others to NOT become a victim of this very unfair 'contract penalty' they they will NOT disclose to you!

If you are thinking about signing up with ADT, DON'T, keep shopping, and if you are going to sign up with ADT, you better make sure you have a LAWYER review their ridiculous 'monitoring contract'! Don't become another VICTIM of ADTs UNFAIR MONITORING CONTRACT!
