Kelly Harvey This woman violated multiple sections of the Federal Credit Repair Organization act and refuses refunds!

I was referred to Kelly Harvey by a mortage broker in 2008 when I was looking to relocate to Olathe Kansas and was considering to buy a new home there. My move to Kansas was entirely contingent on my ability to sell my home in Maryland. The mortgage broker thought I could use some help cleaning up a few minor errors on my credit report to help me obtain the best interest rate. On there word, I contacted and contracted her for a fee of $295.00 for credit repair. A few months later my credit score had gotten worse, Ms. Harvey would not provide documentation that she had done any work and the mortage broker had stopped endorsing her services and took over the handling of my "credit Repair" herself due to multiple complaints of Ms. Harveys lack of service. Several more months went buy with no response from Ms. Harvey to my requests and complaints of lack of service and her nto doing the job she was hired to do. She simply decided on her own to stop working as she didnot feel I would qualify for a mortgage. My ability to obtain a mortgage was totally irrelevant as I explained to her on multiple occassions, she was hired to clear the errors on my credit report. Almost a year later, the same simple errors she had claimed to have handled are still shwing up as errors and I have never been given any proof that any work was done. I hired another credit repair organization, Credit Guys, also in Lees SUmmitt, and within 30 days I saw results and the errors were coming off. Ms Harvey violated several section of the Federal Credit Repair Organization Act, in particular Section 404 Prohibited Practices in which a Credit Reair Organization cannot collect payment in full up front while work is still in progress. Ms. Harvey was paid in full within the first 30 days while work was still ongoing (allegedly 6 months later.) Now over a year later, work is still being done by Credit Guys, and Ms. Harvey, is she was a true professional working according to Federal Law, should still be working on my file and shouldnot have collected her full fee of $295.00 even a year later. She is very ignorant of the law and does not do any work, just makes false promises, takes your money and refuses to acknowledge your letters and complaints. When I had sent my initial complaint and request for a refund in May she never once responded in attempt to she what she could to to rectify my concerns (ie, finishs her work, provide proof of work performed as previoulsy requested or provide any type of refund.) It was not till August that she bothered to respond after complaints were filed with the BBB of Greater KC and the FTC. She is still refusing a refund even in the light of direct violation of the Federal law.
