Love a child (thrift shop)
Love a child, thrift shop Took large bill $100 and put in his pocket

Shops, Products, Services

Customer went in store with 3 bills in their wallet. $1, $20 and $100.

The ripoff was the EXACT reverse of the cashier scam where the customer gives a large bill then takes it back.

In this case the customer bought a $20 item, gave the owner a $20.
The store owner said it cost $21.30 with tax.
(That would be tax at 6.5 percent. Correctly calculated.)
Customer pulled out what they thought was $1 and gave it to store owner. And then searched for the rest of the change...

What was ODD and PECULIAR the store owner immediately stuck the "dollar" in his pocket.
...
The customer figured if she needed to break the $100 see would buy more product.
So she picked out some more items around $40.
She never left the store... But now, as she went to pay, instead of having $100 in her wallet only had $1.

The store is small and there were no other customers.
