Flying under the Wire! Denve

Chem-Pro Carpet Care out of Colorado Springs and Denver, owner Kevin Council, is NOT legitimate. He advertises by flier and his fees end up quite a bit more expensive than advertised. He actually did an OK job cleaning the carpet, but his guarantee is a HOAX and he refused to come out and do the final follow-up work without additional payment. When I reported him to the BBB, I found out Kevin Council has been "flying under the wire". He moved and reported his business closed so that his business does not show up on the BBB website and they are unable to track him. When I contacted the BBB and informed them he was, indeed, in business, they reported that there were "multiple" current complaints (all 2009) against him but they had no valid location for him and could not post the complaints online due to his "closed/out of business" status. They, of course, release the info if you call, but most of us check online these days. After doing some investigating, I found both State and IRS liens against his business so I would be surprised if he is operating in any legal way. There is no recourse with Chem-pro Carpet Care or Kevin Council. Consumer Beware!
