Rewards Center takes its reward from you Indianapolis

My wife recieved a letter from them offering them "reward" points since she had spent a certain amount of money on clothing. She called the number from the 'Rewards Center' to redeem these points for free merchandise.
Three weeks later our bank account was charged $165.85 for the free merchandise. She gave no bank or card information but our bank account was charged the amount. We called this so called Rewards Center and they said they would credit the money back to our account and we should return the items when they arrive.
I've disputed this amount with my bank since I do not believe this company will refund the money, so they pretty much stole from my bank account.
