Susan Thompson Ruined our wedding and went 70% over budget!

Complaint: ms. Thompson (Vermont Made Weddings) was hired toplan and execute a turn-key wedding in Woodstock, VT for a budget of $50,000. Her fee was $7,500 plus out of pocket costs. She refused to provide us with anyaccounting but verbally reported to us 10 days before the wedding that she was $4,000 "underbudget". By the day of the wedding she had taken over $85,000 from us. Thompson chargedover $22,000.00 just for her services. She said she would not show up unless we paid her balances the day before the wedding. She also gave our credit cardinformation to the rental company, Weddings, Tents & Events who charged over $13,000 above theircontract - without permission. We are now in debt for over $35,000 as aresult of Vermont Made Weddings and Weddings, Tents & Events.
