Orbit Telecom Fraudulent Charges then they give only a Partial Refund!

I receive about 10 bills a month from At&t. We have several offices around our state so its just one of those things. I usually just call and pay the whole balance of them all and don't even look at the bills. One day I decided to open a small bill for a Fax machine we just put in in one of the offices. It had a "secret" charge on the bill so I called and asked. They directed me to Orbit Telecom. Upon Further research they found out that they have been charging me for this "service" that they provide since March. I asked for my money back and they stated that it was company policy to only refund 10 months of charges and not the whole thing. So in turn not paying me for the extra 8 months they owed me. While I was on the phone speaking to this young lady I asked her how a charge like that would have come on my bill and she stated this, (which she shouldn't have)

"Sir, this is how you have gotten this charge on your bill, You or someone filled out an online survey about a certain product or issue and when you or someone filled it out, You were supposed to win a prize. Well when you agreed to take the quiz, there was some very fine print saying that entering this quiz you will be entered to a phone service "pool" to provide you with additions to your existing phone service".

Well I had two other companies "sign me up that day" Orbit was one of them. I tried to get my money back and am still working towards a full refund but its a big hassel. These people want to keep all that money real bad.

So, what have I learned. Nothing is free in the world, you can't win a mac laptop by filling out a survey, Check your little $29.99 At&t Fax machine bill every month to check and see if its ok, and last but not least know that there is always someone out there that will try to make money off you and you don't even know it.
