I was contacted by Dr Mike Cioppa in March asking me to be a preferred vendor. I researched his name on the internet and found out he co-authored a book with Stephen Covey. I checked to see if the book really existed. It does - titled "Mission Possible". I would like to contact Stephen Covey to see if he knows about these ripoffs!

Mike Cioppa is suppose to be a consultant for businesses trying to motivate and retain their employees. Apparently, he has changed professions and recruits businesses to send him checks under the pretext of holding these seminars.

He requested I send $147 to cover the cost of the conference center to set up my booth. After confirming there was a semiar scheduled and checking him out on the internet, I sent my check.

Since then, the conference was supposedly postponed because the venue was too small. Eventually, they said refund checks would be sent.
