Van Taylor of Affordable Mobile Home Transport (http://www.affordablemobilehometransport.com) took our $3000 deposit to move our single wide Mobile Home from Illinois to Texas and never moved the house.

We contacted him back in April and he quoted us $6500 to move the house. We bank wired him the deposit money in the last part of May and was promised the house would arrive in Texas by June the 9th at the latest.

His first excuse of being late was that the house had to have special axles made. Axles that were 82" long for a house that is 16' wide. That doesn't even sound right. It supposedly took over 3 weeks for him to make the axles that weren't' even needed. We asked him why he couldn't use slip axles and he said that he couldn't travel across Missouri with slip axles it was against the law.

Then when he was suppose to be in Illinois hooking up to the house to get it ready to move it. When we spoke to him that afternoon... He was pulling into Birmingham because his Mom had died that morning. How he traveled from Illinois to Alabama in a few hours... I will never understand but I do understand that it makes him a Superman to travel that fast!

OK so now we are into the first part of August with him still telling lies and making up excuses. One time you talk to him... His phone is breaking up or he can't talk because they are on the road somewhere where there isn't a signal.

I think he told us every excuse there is... There were huge heavy storms that blew over doublewide homes that he was transporting and he was hung up for days because of storms. Well according to the weather when he was telling us about the storms it was all clear and not a storm anywhere in the US!

He did finally show up to move the home and when his son Kevin removed the skirting... Guess what he found under there... Yep, thats right the house already had AXLES! A full set of Axles!

But then he wanted more money so he could buy the materials to set the house up here in Texas. When the house already has its own materials under it We said NO! He unhooked from the house and left Illinois so quick as if he was never there!

To sum it all up... Our house still sits in Illinois with all it's axles and Van Taylor is $3000 richer!
