Kept my deposit and after many "delays" and 6 months still did not live up to his end of the bargain

I needed to move my double wide mobile home from New Mexico to Louisiana. I looked at Alfie Raines' website and after consideration decided that he would get my business. He seemed at first like an honest person. As the days grew into weeks I realized that he was not! He promised to move my home in October. He showed up a day late to begin to dissassemble my home, not a big deal. That was the last time I saw him, though.

He left my home exposed to the elements, uncovered and apart. Thankfully, I had friends there who took care of getting it covered and protected. From that day forward he used excuse after excuse as to why he couldn't get to my home as promised. He eventually hired another driver around December to get my home.

Finally, I thought, some progress was being made. This person drove one half of my home to the LA state line where it was dumped at the weigh station because he had not applied for the transport permit. I met the driver in my home town two weeks before Christmas to give him some of the money so he could get home because NOT EVEN HE COULD GET IN TOUCH WITH ALFIE!

I contacted the state police who were about to have my house impounded and was given a break. I had to hire another two drivers to go to NM and get my home which took all of one week. During the time that my home was dropped off at the state line I was unable to contact Alfie and had no idea if he was going to bring my home or not.

Unbelievably, the same driver he hired showed up in NM to get the other half of the house. THIS IS THE SAME DRVIER THAT ABANDONED THE FIRST HALF OF MY HOUSE AT THE LA STATE LINE! I told him I did not want him to touch my home again and a few choice words. Throughout this whole process, Alfie did nothing but lie and break promises to fulfill his end of the bargain. He would not return phone calls or emails unless it was to give me one more excuse as to why he couldn't get my home to me.

It makes me feel better to know I am not the only one victimized by Alfie. I was one of the first, an internet search of his business reveals many people that he has ripped off. Most of them happened after my incedent in 2004 on. Stay away from this man, he will rip you off!
