Dual Starr Marketing
Not up-front about a lot of things!

Shops, Products, Services

I applied at dual starr marketing because i was in desperate need of a job. I was so excited to get an interview (especially during these tough times). The interview lasted no more than 5 mins. Then i was called later that day by the receptionist says i was "selected as one of their finalist" for a 2nd interview. Well i show up and i was introduced to a "leader" who i would go out to the field with. So i followed him to a gas station and observed how to pitch to customers to sell the product. He asked me a couple questions and sure enough i was hired.

Everyday consisted of the exact same thing. Show up a 8am (you dont clock in, punch in or anything), take notes and teach them to others for about an hour. Then you receive you merchandise, then go back inside and get lectured about the same thing day after day for 2 hours. So after 3 hours of working for free you finally hit the field. Some stations that i went to were fairly far, and to top it off they do not provide their employees with gas money. Plus they also dont provide you with cleaning towels so thats more money i had to spend for things they should have provided me with.

So your out on the field trying to sell cleaning wax to people pumping gas, many of them who have seen the demonstration 20,000 times already. Finally when your day is over everyone meets up at the office to turn in their money/unsold merchandise. Then your stuck at the office for another hour waiting to get your merch and money counted so you can finally go home.

I found myself going to the same stations more than once. I had some good days in which i made about $100 a day, some days were i barely made anything. After my 3rd week their i quickly realized that I needed to get out.

For those who still aren't convinced about staying away from this job, consider these points before you decide to apply.

1. You will not make good money day in day out, meaning your pay is very inconsistant. Its very hard to live off money that your not sure you'll make. Especially when you pay rent, car payment, have kids, etc. So even if your on top of your game and your telling the customer all the right things, its not guaranteed that they will buy the product.

2. You wont get reimbursed for gas or cleaning cloths.

3. Their pyramid scheme is a big lie. There was not 1 employee in that location that was making as much money as the pyramid claims. I was blinded by it and i got suckered into believing it.

4. They try to brain wash you to believe that you can become and owner and make a 6 figure income in less than a year and that dual starr is the best company to work for.

Bottom line they target anyone and everyone, especially younger people who need a job (like me). They will hire anyone. During my 3 weeks their i witnessed many people quit and many new hires. I was suckered into their lies and was lucky to realize it before others who are still miserably working their. I hope i help somebody make the right decision.
