Bag Check Employee Had Blood-Soaked Bandage, Groceries Refunded

During a recent visit to a Amarillo, Texas Walmart, my wife and was stopped around 8am in the morning and had our bags searched for our safety.
The young girl had a wadding of cotton swabs you would pack a wound with, and it was blood soaked. She was more than happy to pull an edge up and show us a recent wound that should have seen a doctor.
I had deli items, vegetables and fruits, and can goods in my bags.
I returned to the service desk and got a refund. The manager was unavailable to speak with me. The Home office took a report, but did not get back to me.
I couldn't help but wonder, did they put those groceries back on the shelf?
I have a problem with people mishandling food. Stores should not let anyone put their hands into your food.
To this day I do not buy groceries from Walmart.
