Company sent letter saying I owe Verizon

I got a letter in my maiden name. It has a bold header that says: DISCOUNTED PAYMENT OFFER.

In the body of the letter, this company AFNI, Inc. Claims to be a debt collector making their second attempt to collect an unpaid bill from me. (I never received a first letter.)

They say I owe Verizon $385.04 but that they will "accept $50.00" and "settle the account."

It looks legitimate in terms of having the stub to pull off at the bottom with the perforations, listing their address, etc.

However, I know it is not possible that I owe this because 5 years ago I cleaned up my credit to buy a house.
