Aka Discount L.D. Direct One ripoff. They debited money without authorization

On Wednesday June 4, Direct One called me at work regarding my execellent status with MasterCard (my debit card). The woman from Direct One talked so fast that I only caught about every other word. She wanted to give me 2 free phone cards, because my status was excellent. She started rambling on about voice mail and some other things, and I told her I was not interested. After she was done with her speech, she said that if I had any questions, please call this number (800-665-5276). So, after I hung up with her I called the 800 number and found out what that phone call was all about.
The customer service rep. Said that the phone card was a free 30 day trial and that if I wanted to keep it, it would cost me $50 dollars. I told her to cancel that, that I didn't want it. She told me to call back on Friday, because the order was not in the system yet. On Friday June 6, I called Direct One back and had them cancel my "So, called order", and she gave me a cancellation number.
On Wednesday June 11, I called the Telapal (tells your credits and debits) and to my surprise there was a master money card debit of $61.02, that was taken out of my account on June 9. I called the bank and found out it was from Direct One.
So, I called Direct One back again. The customer service person told me that there was a cancellation that was over looked and that the money will be credited back into my account by my next bank statement.
I ended up going to my bank after reading about this company on this web site. I cancelled my debit card and closed the account. I also filled out a dispute form with the bank to try and get my money back. The woman at the bank was the one who told me to close my account and cancel my debit card. According to this site, Direct One will deduct $61.02 every month. If you run into a problem, close your account and open a new one.
