I ordered from Calyx & Corolla at the end of June a beautiful victorian wreath; what came a few days later was a sunflower with a little greenery and a ribbon to hang it with. This item is nothing like what I ordered, the mistake was in the item number. I ordered W178 and was sent D178. Knowing mistakes happen I called the company told a customer service agent what happened. She said the correct item would be sent out ASAP and to keep the sunflower as a gift. A few days later another box arrived. It was the same sunflower. The box was clearly marked D178 but the label read W178. Again I called the company. I was told that Fed Ex would be sent to pick up the sunflower and the victorian wreath would be sent right away. Fed Ex never came and I never received my wreath. I called the company and was told that it was under investigation and I would be contacted. I had the feeling my honesty was being questioned after all the label did say W178. Needless to say I was never contacted. I boxed the two sunflower swings and sent them back (paid out of my pocket) with a letter expressing how dissatisfied I was. I requested that my credit card be credited for the full cost of the wreath. I requested verification from the post office that the company did receive the package I sent and so I waited to be reimbursed. (I did request reimbursement for the cost of mailing the items back as well) A few weeks went by and my credit card statement showed no credit from Calyx & Corolla. I called once again and was told that my credit card had been credited for the wreath the day before, but they did not credit the cost of shipping the wreath. Keep in mind on top of the usual cost of shipping an additional $10.00 is charged to orders from Alaska. I became angry on the phone and the customer service agent assured me that I would be refunded this cost. She also gave me the name of Portia Hale at corporate headquarters in San Francisco whom I wrote and included a copy of the letter I had sent earlier, the verification of the package I sent being received and copies of the receipts to mail the wrong items back to them. I have never heard from this woman. I sent the letter on July 27, it is now September 3rd. I know the money spent to mail their mistake back to them was small but it is the way I have been treated. It would have been nice to have just received a letter from the corporate office to achnowledge what I had been put through and apologize but they do not care enough about their customers to do that. It is such a shame when a company becomes so large that they feel they do not have to answer to any wrongdoing done to the little people. I guess they have forgotten that it was the little people who made them who they are. NO CUSTOMERS / NO COMPANY, it is that simple.
