Employees push inserts onto customers

I was told today by a former Road Runner Sports employee that all of the RRS employees are REQUIRED to sell a certain amount of inserts (Superfeet, etc) every month, or they will be given their sales bonus.

This is absolutely ridiculous. These employees will convince you that you really do need an insert so they can secure the sale and hit their quota.

Using improper footwear when running WILL result in injuries. RRS's requirement that their employees push insert sales on their customers puts customers at risk for using equipment that may injure them.

When I go into a running specialty store, I expect that the specialists will have my best interest at heart, not be recommending something I don't need that could be potentially injurous so that they can hit a sales quota.
