I called the number on the site off Superpages.com. They are flagged as being good! Ha!!!

The owner answered, took the details for the job and sent a crew of 3 men (Moe, Larry & Curly) to my house. It was a joist job. Remove and replace 3 joists. They made it seem like it was no big deal (and it wasn't) but it turned out to be. I'll give a synopsis of the series of follies that make this experience:

They came the next day - continually promising to write up the contract - but never did. They show up to do the job with NO ladder. That's right, no ladder for a ceiling job. They used mine and stood on my furniture. They also had no tools! Well, a couple of hammers, a drill and a circular saw. No level, no Sawzall, no table saw, sledge hammer, no brains. They had to use tools.

Some of the joists were put in on an angle, on a slant and no joists hangers were used.instead screws - 2 1/2 wood screws (all I can do is laugh & shake my head).

Since being made aware of the idiocies of the 1st crew he sent another person out. He did a better job and corrected some of what the 3 Stooges did and didn't do. The damage that they did has yet to be addressed (when taking out the tub in the bathroom they busted through the wall damaging the hall wall. They were also standing on my fire place mantle (which has now pulled away from the wall). The owner seems to be incapable of returning phone calls or responding to emails. Thank God I only paid them 1/2 of the asking price.

You'd make out WAY better going on-line and researching how to Do-It-Yourself before hiring these clowns.
