Match.com
Worth the money or complete rip-off?

Shops, Products, Services

Three months ago I joined Match.com. Because of the number of profiles there, clearly thousands (perhaps millions?) of others have done the same. Why? To meet someone to date and perhaps develop a relationship with.

Did I get my money's worth? Well, you decide.

I'm a gay man. Why would this site try to match me up with women?

One of Match.com's features is the Daily Five. Five people in theory picked just for you. What happens when the Daily Five turns into the Daily Four? Or recycles profiles I've already said no to?

I checked the box that said, Do not send me profiles without photographs. I got at least one profile without a photo in every Daily Five (or Four).

The "search" engine is supposed to match me up with guys of similar interests, etc. Some are so off from the mark it's laughable.

Did I actually meet some guys? Yes. Was there deep compatibility? Not even close.

So for me, the bottom line is that here's a dating site that takes in huge amounts of cash with the promise of delivering a service it doesn't deliver. That seems like a rip-off to me.
