Utilitiy charges in excess of $285.00 they can not prove but bill me monthly over and above my normal usage

I have been charged $285.00 additional dollars for utility usage they can not prove I used. I mailed AmerenIP a attempt-to-validate debt letter with return receipt. They received my letter but AmerenIP did not respond nor validate, either mathematically or with any follow up documentation to my inquiry for proof of utility usage. This company, as so many, seems to think they have a license to steal from us consumers. They can not prove this charge but they add the additional amount in a monthly payment schedule.

This is a huge ripp-off... I wonder how many more people are subject to such unethical business practices.

I have the attempt-to-validate debt letter on file for anyone's review, contact me by e-mail and I will send you a copy of this letter, the letter states that in the event the subject company does not or can not prove the debt owed that the company is to waive any and all charges, penalties or collection liability. They did not respond. They simply add it into your monthly bill and threaten to shut off utilities if it is not paid!

I am sick and tired of company's, especially a company to whom provides a commodity such as electricity, that refuses to answer for there own inefficiency's and then pass there mistakes off to consumers. AmerenIP is a private sector company and therefore as any company in business must carry liability and additional insurance inherent to there business function. AmerenIP finds it easier to steal from customers with threats to dis connect then to except there failures within there staff and or business foundation.

All I simply asked was for AmerenIP to prove the additional $285.00 utility charge, they could not. There answer is to steal from me and threaten to shut of utility's if I not paid...

That was the corporate American way before, not now. Not now, since we the American people are now carrying the looses for corporate Americas greed, why in the world should we carry AmerenIP?
