Non Sufficient Funds

I have paid off one of my credit cards and overpaid the account. Collect America sent me the check where I overpaid the account and I cashed the check at my local bank and then a week later I receive a statement in the mail showing that there was insufficient funds in their account and I was also charged with a $35 fee from my bank because the check came back non sufficient. I called the office and the two young ladies that I spoke with were very rude and did not help me at all. The only think they kept saying was that there should have been money in the account. They couldn't explain to me why it didn't go through or assist to help me with anything else as to trying to figure this out so I could move on with my life and fix my checking account. BE CAREFUL cashing checks through them!!! Beware!!!
