Cut Work Hours and Slammed With $2600.00 because Forfeited Contract

My company was doing well in I ordered the security system and 7 months later I've been cut work hours from 40 hours down to 24 hours. I called ADT to cancel my order and explained my situation that my paycheck was being cut back so now I get a letter from a collection agency with no notice from ADT to pay back $2,600.00 because I forfeited the 36 months contract. With my 24 hours a week paycheck there is no way I can pay that. I call this a way for them to make money in times when people can't afford the monthly monitor fees.
