T-Mobile
Does not follow through with promises

Shops, Products, Services

My grandson has been on our family plan for over a year. He just turned 19 and wanted to start building a credit history in is name. He talked with T-Mobile who informed him he could take over responsiblity for his phone number.

This is where the nightmare starts. After calling T-Mobile pulled his credit and informed him of a past due collection balance of over $1500.00. Since he had only been in Texas a year he started naming people he knew and about the fourth name BINGO that was the person whose name was on the bill. He was told by the rep to go and file a police report and to call back referencing Dan's memo's and they would work to have this issued cleared within a day.

He immediately went to the police station filed a report and came home. He called and the Fraud rep read the notes then asked for the police phone number, officiers name, and report number. He placed our call on hold and called the police. After returning to the phone he said he was going to pull this from the collection agency and would have everything ready to go for my grandson to go into one of the stores and fax a copy of his SS card and DL to the Fraud fax number and then have the rep call them.

At the store after faxing the required information the store assoicate called and was then transferred to the activation department who said sorry they can only go by the credit score and it is too low for an account. After numerous conversations with reps he finally got a manager who also can not override anything.

The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. After pulling his credit report the only thing on it is this one collection account by T-Mobile that they are suppose to remove, but they can't change his current phone number to an account until the bureau is cleared by them.

It would help if each time you called you did not have someone new to speak with. One time your talking to Florida, another time Texas and the next time Washington. Oh, he can write a letter to customer relations but they also can not make a decision.

What good are managers if they can not make decisions. Maybe they just monitor the lunch schedule.
