I was layed off from my job and so I brought my car on Feb. 5th to the pawn shop to get a loan for my 1967 classic vw beetle. I called to see it and pay for it on the third week of the month and they told me that it was at another location. Then a person called me back and told me that they could not find it that it was probably stolen. I was shocked and I started looking online to see if maybe I could find it and I did I found it on a website and went out there after I asked questions that only i knew the car had and fhe person described it exactly. At the same time i get in the mail parking tickets on the same month at the address of the website where i found my car. They never told me it was not there until I called on it.
Long story short, they received from my insurance over $1700.00 and would not give my insurance the pink slip and the keys to the vw. I think the car was stolen the day I brought it and they fired not to long from that date 2 people that were there when the car was at the pawn shop and the video that they said they had they decided to get a new system right after my car was stolen and no longer had the video for that month. They feel that they are not responsible and also put a lien hold on my title until they received the money from my insurance.
