Larry Brumfield, National Director of National Credit Federation (NCF) d/b/a Texas Credit Restoration Alliance (TCRA) sold credit repair services promising to
remove such items as bankruptcy, charge offs, late pays and other items from credit bureau records. He required a full year membership fee to be paid up front
promising competent legal representation, and superior customer service. He also promised on a conference call, with numerous other recruits present, a full refund for any client or member who is not satisfied. I relied on this assurance to make the decision to purchase the services. My calls and emails to customer service went ignored. When this was brought to Mr. Brumfield's attention, he promised to follow up and get back with me. He never did. Midway into the 1 year membership, I stopped receiving any response from the "attorney" - I later learned these people skipped town and Larry tried to switch the customer service to some other company, National Credit Federation. He tried to sell me a "free" 120 days of service, yet I was still owed over 4 months on my original contract. During this 120 days I received no positive action on my credit reports.in fact, Experian sent a letter stating that they had received some "suspicious" correspondence (from NCF) regarding my credit profile and that they would ignore it and report such activity to the authorities. When I asked for a refund, per Larry's promise, he refused. Rather he tried to extract even more money from me to "extend" my membership. Additionally, the contract and sales material promised credit lines, law club membership, free tax help and a host of other services that never materialized in any way, form or shape.
