What a ripoff!

I received a postcard in the mail that solicited me to come to the Marriott hotel on a Saturday to make me an OFFER on my timeshare! Well, I guess I was taken once again. This time by a group called Groupwise Inc, which I researched and found out is the same company as Timeshare Title from Sharon Pennsylvania. I guess this is so they can control you the whole way and make you feel that things are good until they are sold on eBay as I learned from a site called TUG. I also have heard that if it is a timeshare that is not easy to sell, then many times it never gets transferred and once it goes past 60 days on my credit card, there is not a thing I can do about it.

So the offer was to charge me over $3000 for me to GIVE them my timeshare so that they can put it in this so called bogus sounding travel club and that would relieve me of my maintenance fees. I have news for you! I can list my own on eBay and sell it if I want to do that. I don't need a smooth talking high power presentation by some slick timeshare salesperson to tell me that my resort is going under and threaten me that my maintenance fees are going to keep going up and scare me into giving them over $3000. I AM NO IDIOT and HOPE there is NOBODY foolish enough to do this.

I am one that did alot of research and I finally got it from the salesperson that the company just started doing this and that the claim of 1995 is not accurate and this is new to them. I think this is FRAUD and these people need to be plastered on every site there is and I am going to do my best.

I would recommend that if you get one of these postcards from GROUPWISE, INC, then go to the meeting and stand up and let everyone know that THEY CHARGE YOU and there is NO OFFER. They are just going to try to scare you into doing their scam deal. Also, let the next group know as there were more people waiting as my husband and I left. I really wish we would have said something and can only hope that they did not get scammed.
