Stay away from them!

Long story short. Cleaned house I rented from Casa Real Estate and left everything in working order minus broken blinds, broken cabinet. Deployed to Iraq, checked credit report 7 months later, notice collection on report from Casa Real Estate. Get into contact with Casa Real Estate to find out why there is a collection. Told that door door was broken, keys never turned in, and I still owed money on top of the security deposit they kept.

Never received any communication from them on this matter.instead of looking at my deployment orders I turned into them to see if maybe they can call someone in my unit on rear D to let me know what was going on, they report the collection to Credit Report. Nor did they call my wife to explain the situation. I guess taking that route was the easiest for them to do, in turn, screwing me over. Now I must wait to buy a home when I return from Iraq until my credit report recovers from the point loss due to collection. Which me not having any knowledge of what was going and having a collection on my report does not reflect my actual credit worthiness.

I did'nt even care that they claimed I never turned in the keys or about the damages that I know were not there when I left the house. If I wanted to be a prick I would of fought that even though it was their word against mine which we all know they would win. I did'nt know that keys dropped off in their drop box are capable of walking away on their own.

So I get screwed for the next 7 years until the collection falls off from my report all because they chose the lazy route, not caring what kind of impact their decisions will make. I tried to plead my case but was basically told I was a liar. You would think they would be understanding seeing how they operate in a military community. I highly recommend all soldiers in the Fort Hood area not do any business with Casa Real Estate. Go somewhere else like JWC where they truly care about soldiers and don't look into screwing you over.
