Is a contractor who don't complele wok but spends the money

David came in and gave me a work order of what he was going to do and what the job was going to cost. I gave him half the money because of materials needed to be brought.

He had 3 rooms to do simple things to be done like paint and replace the doors and windows. He completed those jobs on time and he did a good job.

Then I asked him if he can do a complete remodel of the kitchen and he gave a amount and agree on it I ask if he can be done by Sept. This was in June he said yes again he needed money for supplies so i gave him half. He kept saying the job was on hold because the cabinets was on order.

So I asked him if he would do the game room and it was a large job. He gave me a amount that he would charge.
That was where it all when wrong he started not showing and then he just decided he was not going to complele it. I took him to court and he said he could'nt pay me back the $5000 he owes me because he's not working. So i'am out of the money and have to do the work on my house my self.
