Scams the disabled and poor, do not use this company

This company has been holding my life posessions hostage since Febuary 2009. They are crooks. Ben Aviv presents himself as "Joe the truck driver".

He came to my old home and picked the most valuable items, then left many other items that were on the inventory list. I had to pay for another company to pick up other items. Highly recommended, but costly Allied Movers—they are professional. I have received everything in good condition and they treat you like a human. I have paid American Pro Movers in full. The truck came to my door-30 days later. They refused to unload my items unless I paid him $561 in cash. I gave him a cashier's check from Bank of America. He refused it and claimed to be taking my things to California. Two days later the driver calls, ask for the cash. I am disabled, without a car and sleeping on the floor. I live alone, i have a life threatning illness. Ben Aviv now says to come back with my delivery will cost me an additional $300 plus the $561—and they will deliver in 3 weeks from now. This is criminal for this bootleg company to treat people like this. He has even stooped to calling me a racial slur.
I have contacted the Attorney General's Office, the U.S. Department of Transportation, the Better Business Bureau and filed complaints. Meanwhile, my bed, computer, furniture and the rest of my life have been in his posession for over 1 month. Someone please help me! Please note that I payed him a $300 deposit on my debit card, and $1900 in a cashier's check to pick up the goods from Chicago. And now he won't accept a cashier's check for $561. I payed Allied Vans a cashier's check for $3,500. How rediculous that this entire move cost me $6,000 due to the scam service of Ben Aviv and American Pro Moving
