Sprint - Nextel Sprint has horrible customer service. Avoid them if possible

I was a NEXTEL customer since 1999 primarily because I needed the walkie-talkie feature to deal with my customers. I paid my bill every month like clockwork. However, ever since Sprint took over, things have really sucked!

On March 26 they cut my phone service off because they had not received my February payment. My wife pays the bills and paid my March bill online on March 18. She discovered she had failed to pay the February payment so she mailed a check later on March 18th, which Sprint said they had not received.

What really bothers me is the fact that they simply cut off my service WITHOUT even calling me first. If they had only informed me of a payment problem, I would have taken care of it. I have always been anal about paying my bills on time.

Sprint just cut off my service without any warning! This action by Sprint really screwed me on March 26th. I drove for more than a hour through Atlanta area traffic out into a desolated part of the countryside to meet a potential customer.

He wasn't there and I couldn't call him because of Sprint. I was just livid. I could only think about being stranded out there without a phone because of these thoughtless folks at Sprint. They just cut you off without warning. Avoid them if you can.

They also overbilled me again and again, and failed to disengage my text messaging feature as they had promised to do on several occasion. Sprint is expensive and difficult to deal with. They made me sick again and again.

I just switched to another carrier, got unlimited minutes and a free phone for a "fixed" and certain monthly payment which is about HALF as much as Sprint charges. AVOID Sprint if you possibly can. They really suck.
