They don't honor the cleaning deposit that they ask up front. They will still charge you more at the end of the lease

Beware of this apartment complex! When you first move in, they will sign a lease agreement with a deposit for cleaning. They will tell you that the cleaning deposit pretty much covers carpet cleaning, repaint of the unit, etc. When I moved out, I spent 2 days cleaning the entire apartment. But now I got a bill for the said carpet cleaning service and other stuff that should have already been covered by my cleaning deposit.in my opionion, it's management's way of bleeding more money out of you since it's their last chance to do so. They know that you are moving out and will never do business with you again. They keep your deposit for years with no interest and then charge you extra at the end of the lease and not take into consideration your deposit.
You need to make sure that they have put in writing what is covered in the "cleaning deposit" that they charge at the beginning of the lease.
This building complex is nasty and dirty. I lived in my apartment for 2 months in the winter without heat which they were supposed to provide. The excuse was that the maintenance person was too busy and that he would get to it as soon as possible. I was constantly losing my mail that were dropped off at their office if they did not fit in the mailbox.
My experience at this complex was horrible.
