Organized Crime Could Take a Lesson From This Company... Beware!

We were approached by a salesman (Knut Werpen) from Wholesale merchant Processing (WMP) who said he could save us about $80 a month on our processing cost, last year. He was a very well trained liar and he got us to sign a lease for credit card processing equipment (see our complaint "I Own a Bike Shop and Got Taken for a Ride") which turned out to be held with this company LFG. Realizing that WMP had no intentions of doing what they said. We started making calls to LFG. After many phone calls of being disconnected and given the general run-around we were actually contacted by an individual (Lisa Meader) from LFG saying she was investigating the misrepresentation claim we had against WMP. She said she needed information from us to process the claim and that we did not have to pay for the lease until the claim investigation was concluded. After multiple (failed) attempts to fax the information she requested, I called to ask if I had the wrong number. The office number she gave me turned out to be for a residence in NYC?! SO, I tried to contact Ms. Meader at LFG with many more phone calls, some with absolutely bazaar comments from the people at LFG (One actually said that Lisa did not have a phone at her desk and could not be reached in the office she was in) I was finally informed she no longer worked there. When I asked about the information needed to investigate WMP the said they had everything they needed and would get back to me in a week. Two weeks later I called them and was promptly told that the case was closed and I would have to pay the lease now or contact WMP (which is what they were supposed to do)! Confused I asked if the salesman had been contacted and was told he was unreachable for comment on this matter? There is an underlying pattern of deceit here that is hard to believe. After many more phone calls it has been revealed that this is a scam perpetuated by these companies to frustrate the heck out of you to make you pay them off. They have a lease contract that is iron clad and they have no qualms about harassing you and suing you if you don't comply to what they want. I have actually been paying them... I even offered to by out the lease just so I could be done with them. They called the other day asking for payment... I said I just made a payment and we were not late on our payment and would pay them when they bill us (we stopped them from debiting our bank account by changing accounts). Now I am receiving phone calls from them calling me an "irresponsible deadbeat that should pay my bills". I have had three calls today. This how they do business?!!! Just for fun I tried to rile the guy calling me by swearing at him and calling him names... He wouldn't rattle.infact assuming he had rattled me he said he'd call back in 2 minutes if I did'nt pay them today! Next time they call I plan on answering with an accent or maybe hitting on them. If your in the same situation as me, try to have some fun with them... Dont give in! And don't let them get you down... These people have more complaints and pending lawsuits coming. This businesses' days are numbered. If you are approached by anybody even remotely affiliated with this company... STAY CLEAR! There is a class action lawsuit being organized.
