UPS delivers to any random address with the same name

I use my po box on most everything I do for safety location reasons. I don't always know a shipper is going to use UPS. I generally get a card to state I have a package and to call or come in a pick up. I didn't know UPS picks random names the same and matches to a physical address often sending the package to the wrong recipient.

Therefore, it doesn't matter if I may not even be the person at the random physical address as long as the name matchs. If no one at the resident returns the package then any packages with that name coming in and with a pobox will get sent there.

This is wrong because UPS leaves packages at doors anyone who lives there can keep the package.

UPS needs a lawsuit about their procedures. I designate an address. A shipper chooses to use that address without contacting me first then UPS should let me know a package is waiting. Not just find a name matches mine and send. How many lost items and or stolen items no one would really know unless UPS was investigated for their procedures.

This is an encouragement for loss and theft at the receivers door. How does UPS even know my name is the person with the same name at the address? DUH
