I Hired Smart Moving Inc to do the Move from Homestead fl to Houston tx and because there quote was the cheapest so i hired them.

They asked me what i had in my house i told them 1 bed room set, 2 knight stands, 1 hair dresser, 8 boxes, and my 50 inch tv, a doll house and some misc items. I told them i had a upright piano that i was planning to sell and if the sale would not go through i have to take it with me. The Girl in charge her name is Jullie
she told me that the quote without the piano was 1150 and if i have to at the piano it will be an additional aprox 350.00 because of the weight so i agreed she emailed me my invoice with the total charge. I had to pay a deposit of 185.00 and half of the total amount when picking up so i did that.

When they came to my house they started to pack my stuff and when i saw the truck they had other people stuff in the truck i gues killing 2 birds with 1 stone, and when loading my stuff they where asking me if i wanted to put my 50 inch tv in a box i told them no because i would be charged for it however i requested to box my mattress for extra 40.00 and i payed $700 in cash to my balance so far evrything went well so far.

My move to Houston TX got cancelt so i told them to keep my stuff in a storage they told me not a problem and that the first 2 months is free and then after that i will be charged $175.00 a month i agreed.

When my 2 month where up i received the first phone call on december the 14th and jullie told me $175.00 will be added to the bill i asked her how much i own you i figured out $1150 Piano $ 350= $ 1500 $ 40.00 boxes totals $1540 ok Minus $185 deposit $ 700 cash as agreed totals $ 885 so $ 1540 minus $ 885 equals $ 665. That is what i had in mind so when i asked julie how much she told me $ 1300 so i asked her why she told me the weight was more then expected so i told her to email me a copy with the charges and i was about 400 lbs over so i asked her how she would know that and she told me they weighted the truck so i asked her how do i know that the weight is accurate and she other people there stuff in the truck so i had no proof also she charged me for fuel charges so i tought it was part of the quote and i also got charged for packaging material, as you can see i could not do anything about it so i told her that i had no choice.

So my bill was $ 1300.00 plus $175.00 december month storage and $ 175.00 for the month of January. So i finaly called her with my destanation that i was not going to houston anymore and i have decided to stay in miami florida so i told her that i needed it done before february so i will not be charge extra $175.00 storage for the month february and she told me that because of me staying in miami florida that she would have to charge me another month because the 2 months of free storage does not apply however the contract says that it does apply to anyware i go but she told me know so i got charged a total amount of $525.00 so that brings me to a total amount of $1300 $ 525= $1825 so as you can see i got ripped of.
