They tell you that you can get your credit report on-line 24/7. I go to the website and try to get my report (after I waited 7 to 10 days for the PIN to come via snail mail) and they tell me the report isn't available because of some silly technical reason and that I'm to call an 800 number.

Well, that 800 number is always, "busy assisting other customers".

This was just like the same company I was signed up with. It could be the same wolf in another sheep's clothing for all I know.

Here's their trick... They count on customers giving up. They really can't afford to give you a credit report anytime 24/7. So, they fabricate a different silly techincal reason (that is of course always for MY protection) every time you try to get your credit report.

But, the real scam is when I call up and try to cancel (9 days after I paid them an annual fee) they are very uncooperative. Once again they came up with a whole bunch of "security questions" that are for my protection but didn't tell ME anything! When I asked to speak to a manager I was put on hold and left there.

No big deal, I called my credit card company and filed a dispute. Good-bye Identity Guard. Just another consumer rip-off company.

My long term problem is that I'm still looking for a legitiment company to do business with so I can get my credit score periodically. Anybody know of one?
