Ripoff fraudulent company

I received a call on my voice mail. It began with maniacal laughter and a message telling me to call them immediately or they would report me to the credit bureau. Now it was my turn to laugh. My credit is already ruined with legitimate claims, so why would I worry about a false claim?

Because I had never heard of their company, I went to the website they gave me on the message. The only way I could get any info was to put my social security number into their system. Well, I ain't no dummy! Unless I know for sure who I am contacting, my personal information is just that - personal. Then I found this web site and found that I was right, this company was a fraudulent company.
Again, I have never heard of this company, let alone ordered anything from them. As for being pre-approved for a credit card, I know better than that. My credit is so bad that anyone who would pre-approve me for a credit card would have to charge outrageous interest and I wouldn't be interested in that.

Basically, we called the District Attorney's office in our state and contacted our local tv station that checks into these fraudulent companies to let them know what was going on. We'll see what happens after that. As for them reporting to my credit bureau? What's one more company?
