Ripoff by false advertising, Bait & Swtich and No Refunds business from hell, Mission Viejo

On February 15, I saw an add for a Pfaff 1016 sewing machine. The picture show a sewing machine with thirteen functions.

The second ad, three weeks later, showing the same "bait" picture but for a different item.

I went to purchase the machine. I was told they had none left, but they had another one (Pfaff 1022), a bit higher in price but better quality.

I purchase the Pfaff 1022. Took home, and found out that it only had two functions. Took it back, and was told "No Refund" but I could exchange for another one.

I ask, again, for the Pfaff 1016, and show the ad with the picture. They told me they found one. Took it home only to find out that it did not look anything like the picture.

Went back to the store. Ask for a refund, since this machine was not the one in the picture. The one in the picture showed a panel of thirteen settings.

This machine, Pfaff 1016, only had two settings just like the Pfaff 1022. They told me that the picture was provided by Pfaff, and they had nothing to do with it.

Again I ask for my money back. They said, "No Refund" but if I wanted one like the picture they could sell to me for about a hundred dollars more.

I called the owner, Mr. George Moore, several times. He never returned my calls. The general manager felt that the matter was closed since I did not want to exchange it for one at a higher price.

The manager claims that the matter was settled when they gave items missing from another machine I bought previously.

Finally, and ad came out for a "White 1418" sewing machine that match the picture on the first ad. Went back to the store to exchange it for the White 1418 which was $50.00 cheaper then the Pfaff 1016.

The sales peole kept telling that the "White 1418" was of very bad quality, it was cheaper made, and that I was better keeping the Pfaff 1016 or buying one at a higher price.

Rather then to start a fight, I left the store with the Pfaff 1016, since they were unwilling to exchange for me.

Again I called the owner. Still no responce from Mr. Moore or anyone else at Moore's Sewing.
