On 1/13 at approximately 3:00pm, my water service was turned off by Global Water. I contacted the company from my job and made a payment for the amount due, 80.08 plus a $60 re-connect fee. I advised the customer service representative that I had not recieved a bill in the mail, the CSR advised that the bill had been sent out on 1/9/09. I then asked the CSR to document my account to include a note to the technician in the field to have my service turned on that day. The CSR acknowleged, and advised that she had placed the note, we then disconnected the call. My service was not restored as promise, and we aslo did not recieve the current bill until the evening of 1/13/09.

Prior to recieivng this statement, we made a payment for service on 12/29/08, in the amount of 74.78, at that time, this is all the company advised was due, SO WE COMPLIED! At no time, and also at the present time have we recieved a notice for disconnection, nor a bill stating that our account was in danger of being disconnected.

I contacted the company again at 9:00am on 1/14 to discuss the statement that I had recieved, and to also discuss the unfair practice of charging an additional $60 for re-connecting service, when thier was not a bill recieved by me, the customer.

I was disconnected 3 times by contacting Global water at the number on the bill, 520-568-4452. I then called 623-518-4000 and spoke to a young man, I advised him of my situation and asked to speak with a Supervisor, the CSR refused and was very rude. He talked over me, and transferred me to a voice mail without notifying me of what was going on!

I then called the Arizona Corporation Commission to have the disput resolved. I spoke with LUPE, 1-800-222-7000 ext 2406. She documented my issue, and advised that it could take up to 5 days to research. This is not the first negative experience I have had with this utility. This community is being extorted by Global Water, there have been childeren from this neighborhood checking with friends to see if they could shower at their houses before going to school, their water is off as well, the $60 reconnect fee is non-refundable in the company's words.

As their are no competitors for water utility in this area, they can screw us any way and we have to pay and take it. Global water's Customer service response, consult with your post office, we sent the bill on the 9th. Poor custome service, extremely rude Custeomer service reps, under handed billing and undiscretionary fee charges. This is what I am experiencing from this horrible water Utility company. Please help the citizens of Maricopa, times are too bad to be extorted.
