OutSource Receivables Management
Predatory Collection Practices

Shops, Products, Services

Back in the early spring of Outsource Receivable Management told me that I had a collection debt for Zions Bank with them. For several months I made payments but never received a statement showing what I had paid or what the current balance was. On July 29 I sent a certified letter to ORM requesting verification of the Debt. The letter was received by ORM on July 29th and was signed for by Danica Hansen. I received no information from them.

Then in September I began to receive phone calls from Kloey stating that I owed moneys. I sent her a fax on September 12th again asking for information under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Additionally, I told her that I was not to be contact by phone any longer and that everything was to be completed in writing. I did this because I could not seem to get what I was being told verbally to match up with letters I had received in the past.

I even gave her 3 account numbers that I had been given in the past for this Zion's account.

She sent me 3 accounts with very small balances but nothing at all from Zions Bank so I believe this account is paid off. I paid the other accounts with one check and then received a letter from ORM on October 10 from the ORM Corporate office stating that ALL accounts with them were now paid in full and they would report this information to the credit bureaus. The letter went on to state that I was to keep the letter as verification that all accounts were paid. I do have it for you to see if you would like.

I heard nothing from ORM from October through December.

On January 6 I was contacted by Ruben at ORM demanding payment for the Zions account. He and I went over the notes in his computer system and he agreed that they had received both letters and that the letter from ORM went out from his office. I expected that to be the end of it.

Since January 6th, I have received two more phone calls demanding payment. I fully believe that Outsource Receivables has stooped to using predatory practices in order to strong arm people in today's economy to pay them even though they don't owe any money to them. This is a widely used illegal practice but something that many collection firms try to stoop to with unsuspecting people.
