Student Relations
Company is a major scam job!

Shops, Products, Services

I took this job with major red flaggs from day one. Louis called within 20 minutes after I had e-mailed him my resume. We talked for a couple of minutes and he asked me to take a look at their website and call him back later that day. I called him a couple of hours later and after a five minute interview, put a close on me I couldn't say no to. He asked me questions about my age, how tall I was, how much I weighed. I accepted the job and after an hour long training call, I started the first of December. I was told I would be paid a grand a month plus commission.

During the training call, which consisted of about 4-5 other new reps, he told us each our territory did $160,000 per year and the goal was to bring it up to $185,000. I thought it was strange each territory was generating the exact same annual revenue. Usually one of the first things you do when you start a job is fill out a W-2 or 1099 but nonthing was mentioned. My first week I was sent to a small town where money was very tight. I probably made about 80 calls and sold five ads. The next week I went to another small town and was given a list of supposed renewals. Their were nine merchants on the list and I contacted four of them when it all hit the fan. People were absolutely livid when I told them who I worked for. They all felt they had been duped by this company.

I was told I wasn't welcomed in their establishment and Student Relations was a scam. One pizza owner told me to google Sudent Relations scam and I would know the truth. I called down to the company and told Mike about this. He told me this happens all the time and this was probably their was of saying no. I told him I was going to visit the school and find out why the folders weren't distributed. He told me to stay away from the school, it wasn't my job. I really smelled a rat at this point and went home to call Louis about this ridiculous situation. Louis gave me some B.S. About a disgruntaled employee was behind all the complaints I had googled and read.

At this point I knew this was a big, bad nightmare I walked into. I will say that everyone I talked with from the company was very nice and professional with me. I don't think they had any intention to ever pay me for my work and even had the nerve to not reimburse me for the saturday express mail I sent to them with my sales information and artwork. I figure they owe me in the neighborhood of $500, which I'm never going to see.
